NCLEX-RN

The National Council (of State Boards of Nursing) Licensure Examination (NCLEX) Review is an intensive and comprehensive preparatory course.

Course Description:

The National Council (of State Boards of Nursing) Licensure Examination (NCLEX) Review is an intensive and comprehensive preparatory course that aims to:

  1. Enable nursing students and internationally educated nurses to pass the NCLEX in the US.
  2. Enhance knowledge and develop critical thinking on the specialized areas of nursing such as medical-surgical, community, mental health, maternity and pediatrics.
  3. Strengthen theoretical application on various psychosocial aspects of nursing and client centered care.

The course includes test taking techniques with over 2000 practice questions analyzed in-class.

CPNRE

The Canadian Practical Nurse Registration Examination (CPNRE) Review is an intensive and comprehensive preparatory course.

The Canadian Practical Nurse Registration Examination (CPNRE) Review is an intensive and comprehensive preparatory course that aims to:

  1. Enable nursing students and internationally educated nurses to pass the CPNRE.
  2. Enhance knowledge and develop critical thinking on the specialized areas of nursing such as medical-surgical, community, mental health, maternity and pediatrics.
  3. Strengthen theoretical application on various psychosocial aspects of nursing and client centered care.

OSCE REVIEW

The OSCE (Objective Structured Clinical Examination) Review is a 9-day preparatory course.

Course Description:

The OSCE Review is a 9-day preparatory course that aims to:

  1. Prepare Internationally Educated Nurses (IENs) for the OSCE that will be administered by the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) through the CEHPEA.
  2. Review the nursing practice standards and practice guidelines established by the CNO (e.g. therapeutic communication, confidentiality, documentation, etc.).
  3. Discuss the human body systems, pathophysiology of common health issues and the nursing management required to ensure patient safety and well-being.
  4. Train students with physical assessment, mental health assessment and history taking.
  5. Develop communication skills and enhance critical thinking abilities through actual clinical scenario trainings and simulations.
  6. Apply knowledge acquired through demonstration and practice with accuracy and confidence when providing care to acutely/chronically ill patient in OSCE simulation with standardized patient.
  7. Apply advanced knowledge acquired in the course and integrate it when providing care to the acutely/chronically ill patients and their significant others in OSCE simulation with standardized patient.

The OSCE Review modes of learning and training involves:

  1. 6 days of classroom lecture, clinical scenario analysis and small group discussion.
  2. 3 days of clinical demonstration practice and tests.
